This site and is continually evolving and growing, if you find any errors or omissions please contact me. At this time, access to the site is restricted to members of the family only. The Harrison side of the family originally came from Ireland via Liverpool, which has made research difficult as some names were anglicised or recorded phonetically on census returns or certificates. There is a repetition of names throughout families, for example where a child died in infancy a subsequent child was sometimes named after that child, which has meant that there have been a number of red herrings and false trails. Where I can I am trying to add something more than just a name for the person, for example the type of job that they were doing or the conditions that they were living in at the time. The most common names for the Harrison side of the family are, Brodie, Connell, Westhead, McLoughlin, Hogan, Deary, Foley, Hurst, Hannaway, Cunningham, Lightbody and Fitzpatrick . The Workman side of the family primarily come from Hampshire and Kent, the most common names are Workman, Borsbury/Borsberry, Noyce, Forrest and Hammond. I cannot guarantee that everything here is correct, the information comes from relatives and public documents. I will only add information that I believe is correct or can be corroborated. Some examples of what you will find about relatives who form a part of this Family Tree; ‘Francis Westhead was fined 5 shillings plus costs in 1891 for delivering short measures of coal’. ‘Henry George Hammond, died from his wounds World War 1 Flanders 1916’, ‘Thomas McManus Lord Mayor of Liverpool,’ ‘William Edward Bessant - Lost on the Titianic.’
